THE MARLOW CLUB, MARLOW, SOUTH BUCKS

Originally known as the Oasis Fitness Club when it opened in the 1980s, this is without doubt the finest health and fitness club in the area. The current owners began a major refurbishment in 2004, re-equipping the gym and in 2006 opened a superb new pool complex which includes a 20m indoor heated swimming pool, complete with new steam and sauna facilities. The club also offers two courts for squash or racketball, a hair saloon, beauty treatments - and even a creche for children from 3 months to 5 years old.

On top of that there is a lounge, bar and cafe selling a range of delicious snacks and meals. In the summer, the pool complex is equipped with large sliding doors opening out on to a sundeck. If you want to participate in finess classes, the Marlow Club runs up to 60 a week, including yoga, pilates or tai chi.

BBA members (on production of their membership card) receive a massive 50% off the joining fee (from £50 to £25), as well as a 12.5% reduction off the monthly membership fee (from £64 to £56).
