Membership Benefits

The Great British Business Alliance will allow all executives, particularly those in small and medium sized enterprises, the opportunity to join a major national networking club for a low cost outlay. Membership will offer five key benefits:

• The opportunity to network with other executives at a series of specially designed events. Events will include drinks receptions and some dinners and will be designed to facilitate networking. While the prime purpose is networking, some events will be constructed around particular business themes, for example via the choice of guest speaker.

• The opportunity to gain access to overseas markets, notably Dubai. We will provide overseas contacts, particularly with Dubai, where markets represents strong potential growth for UK products and services. Business connections will be identified for members of the Alliance. In addition, arrangements can be made (with discounts) to attend the annual prestigious "World CEO Forum" held in Dubai.

• The opportunity to access high status locations and well-known individuals. The opportunity to visit - and entertain - at prestigious locations (such as the House of Lords, a City Livery Hall etc) and to meet leading celebrities, politicians and business leaders through the wealth of contacts the Alliance possesses. It is unlikely that membership of other clubs or associations offers this kind of access. It is also a core tenet of our strategy that the Alliance will be positioned as an elite organisation with unquestioned standards and ethics.

• Access to certain on-line tools to facilitate the discussion of issues or the accessing of particular expertise. While the primary focus is on face-to-face networking, there are plans to provide members with modern ‘web 2.0' tools such as blogs and expertise/knowledge databases to enhance the value inherent in the network. By way of an example, there is an online facility, "The Boardroom" which offers online "chat room" capabilities.

• The opportunity to gain valuable discounts, at a selection of venues. These include restaurants, accommodation providers and selected retailers. This provides a direct financial benefit to membership. Benefits include:

 

No 5 - is a prestigious London club (formerly the Spanish Chamber of Commerce) and the base for the Alliance. BBA members will receive a 20% discount on all food and drink consumed in the restaurant (excluding the already low cost set menus). Not only does the club boast three bars and a restaurant, it also has a roof terrace, hotel rooms and a nightclub.The 20% reduction also applies when booking a room at the hotel. The luxurious MU Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is located on the first floor, under a large atrium, of the four star Millennium Hotel, Knightsbridge, 17 Sloane Street, SW1X 9NU (and only 150 yds from the Knightsbridge tube). Superb Asian influenced tapas will tempt your taste buds and have them yearning for more. BBA members enjoy a 25% discount on all food and drink consumed in the Restaurant and Lounge. The Bar du Marché is located in the centre of Soho at 19 Berwick Street, London, W1F 0PX UK. They serve a selection of French and vegetarian dishes throughout the day (from 11am to 11pm, Monday to Saturday). Pavement seating is also provided. A true slice of France in London; clean-tasting wines, tasty food and a welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere. If you haven't yet tried it, you definitely should!
